- Same-day appointments

Inside a tooth
Know what we are looking after.
Scroll and the molar turns to show its crown and roots, then a clean section slides through it. Three layers, each with its own job.
- EnamelThe hard, slightly translucent outer layer of the crown.
- DentineThe softer body of the tooth, under the enamel and down through the roots.
- PulpNerves and blood supply in the centre, reaching down each root.
Checks, cleaning and fillings keep the outer two layers sound so the pulp never needs attention.

Before and after
Drag to compare.
A model of a typical plan: crowded, stained teeth and a missing molar on the left; the finished row on the right. It is a model, not a patient.

Questions
Things people ask first.
Are you taking new patients?
Yes. New patients start with a check-up, and you can book one online today. If you have records from a previous practice, bring them along or ask them to send them to us.
What happens at a first visit?
A full look at your teeth and gums, small x-rays if they are useful, and a conversation about what you want. You leave with a written plan and a price for each item on it.
I am nervous about the dentist. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Tell us when you book and we will set aside longer, explain each step before it happens, and stop whenever you raise a hand.
Can I spread the cost?
Treatments over £300 can be spread over three to twenty-four months with a deposit. The calculator on this page shows how that looks for each treatment.
Do you see children?
Yes, from their first tooth. Children's check-ups are shorter and gentler, and we are happy for them to sit on a parent's lap the first time.
Is there parking?
There are four spaces behind the practice for patients, and two hours of free street parking on Brightmoor Lane.
Brightmoor Dental is a concept website by Khive, not a real practice. Nothing on this page is medical advice.
